My company offered me an important promotion, and it wasn’t something that I could pass up.
I knew that the promotion was going to help me take better care of my mom. But, it was kind of difficult there at the beginning when I realized that I had to move. I ended up talking to a real estate agent who’s skilled in such situations. The real estate agent was actually superb with me. I told her everything that I needed in a new cottage, including the style of heating, ventilation, and A/C equipment that would work for me. I wanted something that would be a high efficiency Heating and A/C system, and radiant heated flooring in the home office and the bathrooms. The only thing that mom actually cared about all that much was some sort of a fireplace. She did not care if I found a cottage with a wood burning fireplace or a gas fireplace, but having a fireplace was pressing to mom. The real estate agent got on the job immediately and found a cottage with the right size certainations that I needed and also in a superb area. She was even able to find an apartment with radiant heated flooring in the home office, the bedrooms, and the bathrooms. Best of all, there’s a gas log fireplace in the main living space. Purchasing a cottage sight unseen turned out great!
