The next work assignment required our colleague & me to visit a small city for our research.
Since the two of us would be there for 8 days, the supplier had booked us into what our boss referred to as The Hamptons.
The city was in a cold region, & the first thing I did was call the B&B to ask about their furnace/heater installation. The state & history of the heat & A/C products from the reviews would either chop or make the deal, however I favorite to call the owner first before reading the comments to see if they were honest about the situation. The person I talked to on the phone told me they had a good electric furnace. He assured me that he had the paperwork for their Heating, Ventilation & A/C service method & receipts from recent heating system service. He even went ahead to give me the heating dealership’s contacts if I needed to corroborate what he was saying. He sounded love an honest man, & there was no need for all that. The only comprehension I had about furnaces was from friends since our house was fitted with radiant floors, however I did have a boiler for our hot water needs. The heating industry, especially where homes are concerned, was all new to me because I grew up where Heating, Ventilation & A/Cs were not typical since they were rarely necessary. Here, I l received the importance of Heating, Ventilation & A/C tech when it came to heating service & servicing. I remember when our acquaintance told me that I needed to check our furnace filter, I asked him if I could do that from the wireless control unit. To date, it remains 1 of the most embarrassing situations.
