It startled me and made me assume twice about going into the basement.
There honestly aren’t a lot of things that frighten me. I grew up with brothers and siblings that honestly liked to perform pranks. I have seen a lot of things and I have done a lot of things too. Nothing surprises me and nothing makes me scared. Still, our resolve was tested last weekend. My best neighbor and I started an Heating and Air Conditioning service company together. We mostly deal with residential clients, although all of us have a couple of commercial buyers as well. One of our residential buyers called a week after all of us installed a brand new a/c. The man was hearing sounds coming from the air duct. I thought it was strange, especially since all of us had recently been to his locale. We did not see any evidence of issues in the air duct when all of us diagnosed the system. I went to the address and the man told me that the sounds were now coming from the basement. I got out our flashlight and shined it towards the bottom of the stairs. I saw a rat run across the bottom of the basement stairs. The rat was clearly the greatest rat I have ever seen in our life. It startled me and made me assume twice about going into the basement. I told the man that all of us definitely needed to contact an exterminator after I saw the rats. She told me that he did not have any rats in his beach house for sure. I honestly disagreed and refused to go any further until I had help with the task. I did not even charge the man until after the exterminator visited.
