For the past twenty years I’ve been living in the same house surrounded by all of the same people. If you would have told me when I was in my early twenties that I would still be where I am instead of moving to some beautiful island, I would have told you that you were bonkers. There is not one single thing that keeps me here. But, I believe that the main reason that I am still here in this small neighborhood is because of the people. Everyone works hard, and are so friendly to one another. A good example is my acquaintance James who is the owner of this small HVAC corporation in town. In my twenty years of living in this house, I have only needed to buy 3 new heating and cooling systems from them. Three or four times per year, I always have them out here for routine tune ups and they always keep my heating and cooling situation in a good place. Not only have they delivered high quality results while in these past twenty years, they have also always been so kind and polite to me. I consider James a good friend and he’s always welcome in my house, even if there isn’t an HVAC system to service. I think there are things that I lack about not living on some extravagant island, however for me, being able to live in this amazing community is more than worth it.
