I went back to the states Last year & had a blast seeing my friends & family.
The only complication was that it threw myself and others off track with my Heating & A/C cleaning schedule when I returned & multiple weeks went by till I finally remembered that I forgot to disinfect my HEPA filter.
It was incredible how much dust was in the filter, it looked adore a 1 inch thick dust carpet covering the filter. I’m sure that dust was blowing through the filter & into the flat because the forced air from the air handler would have pushed some of the dust through it. So now I am going to put an alarm on my phone reminding myself and others to disinfect the A/C filter every 3 weeks, along with a reminder to disinfect the HVAC duct once every year. I believe the ducts are still quite disinfect because I don’t see any dust residue on the vent grills, which is usually a great telltale sign that the system is dirty or clean. I have a small portable space heating system that I use quite often so I can avoid having to run the main unit, especially given that I am in my office for most of the time that I am home. The cool thing about the portable component is that there are no filters to disinfect & it also uses legitimately little energy to operate because it is just a small unit. I am going to get some air conditioner repair repair soon because summer time is coming & I haven’t done anything with the A/C in a while.
