I think the ducts are still quite clean because I don’t see any dust residue on the vent grills, which is usually a fantastic telltale sign that the plan is dirty or clean. I have a small portable space oil furnace that I use quite often so I can avoid having to run the main unit, especially given that I am in our office for most of the time that I am home. The cool thing about the portable unit is that there are no filters to clean as well as it also uses undoubtedly little energy to operate because it is just a small unit.
