For a long time, we used the services from one of our local HVAC contractors.
Then an HVAC superstore opened up in town.
At first, we stayed with the old school local contractors, but eventually we had to go with the services of the big business because they had all the modern HVAC technology. They had smart thermostats, radiant heated flooring installations, geothermal HVAC systems, rapid heating and cooling, and the list goes on! Our local HVAC contractors who we dealt with over the years didn’t have anything especially modern or overly advanced. They preferred to keep it simple with traditional central HVAC installations, repairs, and maintenance. They are great guys and all, but they don’t even specialize in ductless HVAC systems which according to the big business is the way of the future! I didn’t want to be left behind with the other guys and though I liked them, we had to move our business to the newer HVAC business in town. We decided to have radiant heated floors installed along with a ductless multi split system that has varying zones throughout the house. The indoor HVAC units vary in power as well, so a more powerful unit is needed for larger rooms like the living room area. Then in the bedrooms, the units are much lower in power but still provide the perfect level of comfort. It’s crazy because the guys we have worked with all this time don’t even know how to maintain our new system. I think if they want to compete, they will have to step up their game to provide modern heating and cooling services.
