Jared and his wife were running their own business, but he was still passionate about practicing law. On the other hand, I had been working for a big law firm. The work there was so much that I did not have a social life; at thirty-five years old, I was yearning for a family of my own. Starting my law firm in a small town seemed the way to go. When I pitched the idea to Jared, I was surprised he even had a plan. Three months later, I was seated at a desk calling the local air conditioning business to confirm when they would install a new air conditioning system. The indoor air quality was wanting. The air conditioning supplier had delivered all the equipment for the a/c setup. The next day, the a/c representative and his team were working on the one-story building’s air conditioner installation. Initially, we calculated the a/c service charge and all the new parts needed for a/c repair. We concluded that a new air conditioner was a better investment since the other one was already too old. With the new climate control unit, all we had to worry about was replacing the a/c filter and a/c care. The only thing that we retained was the digital thermostat because it was pretty new. The air conditioning company did an impeccable job, and I scheduled the annual air conditioning maintenance with them. Their a/c care plan also looked very comprehensive. The HVAC system was last on the list, and when the a/c workers finished could now open our doors to the public.
