I know this probably sounds a little silly, but I often like to leave on the air conditioning system for my cat, as well as the TV.
- I leave the TV on because the house is often eerily silent without it, and at least if she can hear the TV she might feel better.
I have never liked silence, and I imagine she probably doesn’t like it either. As for the heating and cooling, my apartment can sometimes become quite heated, and just because I’m not there, doesn’t mean she should have to suffer. I’m not usually gone that long to begin with, and so I don’t mind leaving the air conditioning component on for a few hours while I am away. One time when I left my home, I forgot to leave the HVAC machine on for her. I was visiting some of my relatives, and my aunt became ill and fainted while we were there. She went to the hospital and thankfully she was fine. After I made sure my aunt was ok, it was then I remembered that I forgot to turn on the air conditioning machine. I started worrying about my poor kitty, and her long fur that must be incredibly hot. I knew that she was probably fine, but I still worried. I drove back home to check on her, and thankfully she was okay too. The apartment didn’t feel too warm, and so that was a relief. I turned the A/C machine back on, both for me and for her.
