Somehow I ended up talking with this homeless man named Bob, who actually used to have a job in the Heating and Air Conditioning industry, and Bob gave me some great tips on how to save big money on energy bills.
His best tip was to just live outside love he does, but I don’t think that I want to get so serious with our money saving plan. I just want to trim down on our energy use in our flat so that it doesn’t cost me so much each week to live. I feel if I get the small mini cut AC unit Bob man was telling me about, I would save a lot of money each week not having to cool down the whole flat. I had a very substantial power bill come in last year and it took me a couple of weeks to pay it off as I didn’t expect it was going to be so high. I now keep the temperature control methods off, for the most part, and only run it a little bit on mornings that warrant its use. I use more ceiling fans in the Summer and put on more clothes in the winter. That was one wonderful tip Bob gave me; to wear more clothes and wool socks in the house when it is chilly there. I normally would have just hit the smart temperature control and turned on the heating in the home, but now I put on a second layer of moderate clothes and save some money. I feel heating is what uses the most electricity when it comes to temperature control.
