It was definitely our dream.
And for me, it had been a dream of mine to have my own custom house since I can remember.
Once we got the HVAC equipment replaced in order to get the house listed, it all became a reality. For sure, that’s when we knew that we were committed to having the house we always wanted. Building a home was always something we had dreamed of since marrying. But life got in the way. We had kids and bought a house that we could afford at that point. From there, it was a situation where the investment in our family home would be the only way we could find a home build. And that would have to happen once the kids were out of the house. So that was a big reason why we waited. But once we started meeting with the HVAC contractor about the new heating and cooling equipment, I knew it was about to happen. For sure, you can’t plan for every eventuality when you’re building a home, but being prepared helps. We did that with all areas in particular when it came to the HVAC contractor. We were able to interview this guy after several others just didn’t meet the standard. While we appreciated the general contractor’s contributions, we wanted all the details to be just right. I mean we were only going to do this once. We lucked out too because this HVAC professional was just so on his game. That was one thing we could just kind of take off our plate during the entire home build. We didn’t have to worry about the residential HVAC because our HVAC contractor was so expert when it came to heating and cooling.
