Even though it only reached 20° out last night, I was too sizzling to sleep. I spent half of the night pushing the covers off my legs and the rest of the night just throwing them to the floor. I was so wiped out after working 12 hours that all I wanted to do was go cabin and go to sleep. I did not pay much attention to how warm my apartment was, and now I wish that I had. I kept hearing the furnace running, however I thought some of that was in my sleep. When I finally got myself out of bed, it was 78° my bedroom, and even warmer in the front area. The furnace had to been running all night long, nonstop. I knew I had to call the local Heating and A/C corporation, however I also knew that I only had a little bit until I had to go to work. I called my friend and asked his if I called the Heating and A/C tech, would he please come over when he saw the service van pull into our driveway? She asked me to just provide a time when the Heating and A/C corporation should arrive, and he would gladly come over to the house. I called the Heating and A/C corporation, and was told they could send someone out between 12 and 3 PM. I walked over to my neighbor’s apartment and handed him a key to my house. The way the uneven temps go up my house, I actually hope the Heating and A/C corporation shows up and repairs my broken furnace before I get home. I don’t want another sleepless night.
