When the furnace in my lake household stopped laboring, I panicked.
- I was on the brink of the coldest weather of the year, and I didn’t have an instant source of heat.
I called around to numerous different businesses, but because it was the Holiday season nobody had time to fit me in for a lake house call… When the panic subsided I started to actually think logically, and decided to pop up to Walmart and buy a space heater. It was just a temporary solution, but it would deliver the heating I required for the next couple of weeks. Then the strangest thing happened. I liked the space heating device so much I started to question if I should bother fixing the central system at all. The space heating device was plenty powerful, but also far more energy efficient than the central Heating, Ventilation, and A/C device. It was a little inconvenient to move the space heating device from room to room with me, but otherwise it was more than satisfactory for my needs. By the time the local Heating, Ventilation, and A/C companies could fit me in for an appointment, I wasn’t sure I wanted them to come. It would cost at least a couple hundred bucks, bare minimum, to get my central heating device laboring again. The nippy seasons here are intense, but short, so in a couple more weeks I would not need a heating device particularly much at all. When I weighed my actual options and looked at the cost involved, I made the choice to keep using the space heating device and not spend the extra money for central Heating, Ventilation, and A/C device repair. I honestly hope it works out!
