Popular culture plus social media have become seriously saturated with political lunatics that it reflects poorly on pretty much everyone! I am a patriot, I love America, but it’s not so easy to find things to love when you study some of the things our politicians say… This isn’t a blog about politics, I guess my pals and I all need a pretty good break from that. I wanted to tell you about my friend Sandra, plus how she embodies everything fantastic about America to me. Sandra is an immigrant, who moved here from Cuba multiple years ago. Sandra came here to discover real opportunities plus to build a family plus a job. Sandra worked as a maid during the afternoon, plus at night she took Heating plus A/C classes at the local community school… She enrolled in a program that would lead her to being Heating plus A/C machine certified, because she knew that was her finest path to success. The Heating plus A/C program cost a fraction of what it would cost to attend a 4 year university, plus she was able to schedule her classes around her work. By the time she had achieved her Heating plus A/C machine certification she had a few different task offers on the table. She was able to quit her task as a maid plus make multiple times the currency with a job as a Heating plus A/C machine tech. She is able to actually supply for her family like she never has in the past, plus this inspires me. I know this because Sandra is my personal Heating plus A/C machine tech, plus every time she comes over I make a pot of coffee plus talk about things going on in her life.
