He was taking them into different apartments.
I came home from work one day and was getting ready to up the temperature on the thermostat. I reached for the thermostat, but it wasn’t there. I was sure the thermostat was in the living room, so I checked to make sure I was in the right apartment. I knew it was stupid to think I had entered someone else’s apartment, but I couldn’t think what had happened to the thermostat. All the apartment floors looked the same, and I wondered if I had gotten off the wrong floor, from the elevator. I had done this before when I was thinking about work. I looked around the apartment, and there was a white spot in every room where the thermostat used to be. I called the maintenance man, and he wasn’t sure what I was talking about. When he didn’t tell me anything, I looked at my nanny cams. I had people come into my apartment in the past. They were people being shown around the apartment by the building supervisor, so they could decide if they wanted to live there. He was taking them into different apartments. Instead of seeing the maintenance man, or the building supervisor, I saw the owner of the apartment building coming in. He was taking the thermostats out of every room. I called the building supervisor and asked why the owner removed my thermostats? He asked how I knew who it was and I told him. Instead of addressing the thermostat issues, he told me it was illegal for me to have a nanny cam and not let them know.
