My dad is actually a stubborn guy… He likes to have things exactly the way that he wants.
- He has typically loved that, but it is getting much worse as he is getting older, however things got actually bad after my mom passed away, however my dad became a recluse.
He hardly ever leaves the house, so I have to drag him out of the cabin and take him to events when the kids want their Grandfather at a basketball game or a ballet recital. He also stopped driving about 6 weeks ago and has everything delivered to his cabin using Uber or 1 of the other services. I told my dad that I was going to pick him up a couple of afternoons ago so the more than one of us could go to a bar and watch a pigskin game, but one of my dad’s number one pigskin teams was going to play and I thought it would be wonderful for the more than one of us to get out of the cabin for a while. The heat was also blasting out of the air vents. I asked my dad why it was so hot and he said the temperature felt nice. I evaluated the control component and the indoor temperature was 88°. I also turned off the control unit, but even after I toggle the switch to off, the furnace still kept running. I had to turn off the breaker to the furnace in order to shut off the system. There was actually an issue with the furnace and I told my dad that I was going to call a service service. He simply started mumbling and moaning about currency, but I made the call anyway.
