It feels like the natural gas furnace was on inside our house

I knew for the next little while I’d have to deal with the heat

When I first woke up this morning, I found myself dripping with sweat excessively, not from having a terrible nightmare, but from the harsh heat in our bedroom. It felt as if someone had turned on an oven or stove right next to me. Despite the smart thermostat being programmed to adjust the temperature, the heat was simply unbearable and I knew that I would not be able to fall back asleep. I checked the temperature readout but everything seemed to be in order. I felt the heat coming from the vents and I knew something was wrong. I didn’t really want to open the windows because of the disgusting odor of the sewage plant that is down the road. My chances were limited even though I knew that I needed to call an emergency Heating, Ventilation, and A/C tech to diagnose the problem. Gladly, I was able to get a Heating, Ventilation, and A/C corporation rep who was available and nearby to come to our aid within a half minute. The corporation rep conducted a thorough examination and ruled out the option of the filters being clogged. After doing several tests and checks, he identified the issue to be a faulty thermostat. He had to turn off the thermostat and said to myself and others that he needed updatement parts to repair it. The repairs wouldn’t take long but a few minutes to complete. I knew for the next little while I’d have to deal with the heat. The experience was discouraging and it disrupted our sleep even though I felt grateful that the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C tech was able to identify my problem and that it will be resolved soon. He came back and repaired my central Heating, Ventilation, and A/C component and I’m back to being comfortable. No more intense blasts of heat and I guess it’s time for a nap.
