I’m sort of savoring these last mornings of good weather before the heat and humidity hammer comes down once again.
It’s mid May and that means my associate and I are on the cusp of temperatures soaring into the mid 90’s and staying there.
And when I say staying there, I mean until November pretty much. So that means that the heat pump is about to get the greatest workout of the year. Sure, the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C device takes the vast majority of the winter time season off. It gets to sleep like a bear most of the winter time because my associate and I just don’t need it. Actually, my associate and I have gone entire Winters without even flipping the control unit over to heating. These mornings, my associate and I breakout a space heater if my associate and I need it in the day to knock the chill out of the locale. But when it comes to air conditioning, this is the time of the year that you need to be sure to get an air conditioning tune up from the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C corporation. The heat pump needs to be in top form for our sort of heat. I like to add new way each year to contribute to lightening the load on the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C equipment. This year, I have added a smart control unit in order to better manage the air conditioning when the house is empty during the peak heating hours. In addition to the smart control unit, I had a solar shade system installed. It really syncs with the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C technology. The smart control unit will deplot the shades where it detects rising temperatures from direct sun heating. While I’m not exactly eager for four months of overwhelming heat outside, I’m gleeful to see what these additions can do.
