Some states have no licensing concerns for house managers

My neighbor Lisa runs her own house management dealer, and she is super successful at it; She has been in house management for over 10 years now, then a couple years ago, I lost my task in the healthcare field because I was hesitant in getting vaccinated; Losing my task was a life altering scenario for me.

During that time, Lisa was in need of a house manager and gave the task to me, and i explained to her that I had no experience in house management, but she insisted that I would be wonderful in the role.

She explained that I needed to learn the tenant and building owner laws for the state that my pal and I live in. In addition, I would be in charge of collecting yearly rent and making sure that all service issues were resolved; Moreover, I would be responsible for securing the leases plus managing the budget and expenses for the property. Although that seemed straight-forward enough, I was worried that I didn’t have a real estate license… When I voiced my problems to her, I was shocked when she told me that no license was needed to become a house manager in our state. All that was required was a high school diploma plus some experience with house management. Lisa explained that some states require a house manager to have a real estate license, however our state was not one of them. Well needless to say, I accepted the position as a house manager, and I have been doing it ever since. And the best part is, I enjoy it more than my former task in the healthcare industry.
