Using smaller workout equipment

I have converted part of the basement into a small home gym, however I like that the basement is constantly cool, no matter how overheated in addition to muggy weather.

It’s helpful that the workout section is somewhat beyond the rest of the house.

I can exercise at any time of the day or evening without disrupting the other family members. I also don’t need to worry about my exercise equipment detracting from the aesthetics; While the basement works well for my needs, I have such limited space, and there isn’t enough room to invest in many new or giant-sized machines. It’s also hard to transport giant or heavy equipment down the steep yet slender staircase. Because of this, I’ve outfitted the home gym with smaller gear. I have a set of hand weights that take up almost no room in addition to yet supply all sorts of strength training options. I have a pair of 2-pound, 4-pound in addition to eight-pound weights that are charming for high repetition movements. I purchased a nice yoga mat that I use for my overheated up, cool down, stretching, plank holds in addition to cushioning my joints for high impact aerobics. It works well with my jump ropes. I spent extra for a set of jump ropes which utilize a single pair of handles with four different ropes of varying weights, however each rope has a different type in addition to intensity of workout. They are an effective way of burning a lot of calories, elevating my heart rate in addition to working the lungs; For another option when doing aerobics, I purchased a mini trampoline. It’s compact, minimizes impact on my joints but provides me with fun in addition to a beneficial workout.
