At this hotel we stayed at the other night, the air conditioning system kept turning off every two hours.
It wasn’t so bad when we were awake, but after we went to sleep, it became really annoying.
I kept waking up every time the air conditioning turned off. I love having white noise while I’m sleeping, and so when it turns off suddenly, it makes me wake up with a jolt. I can’t sleep whenever there is total silence, and that is exactly what kept on happening while we were at the hotel. I am not going to lie about it either. It really does annoy me how I can spend so much money for one night in a hotel room and then the air conditioning keeps me from even getting one good night’s sleep! I was more than a little miffed about the whole thing when I got up the following morning and then went down for breakfast in the lobby. I told the manager at the front desk of the hotel about the issues with the A/C and he said that there was not anything that he could do about it. He actually commiserated with me and told me that he hated the new air conditioning system also. He said that everyone who came into the hotel complained about it. The owners of the hotel had decided corporately that that was the direction that they were going as far as the eco-friendly movement goes. Everyone hates it, but that’s the way it is from now on. I hope other hotels do not follow in their footsteps, though!
