Usually, I like to talk about the latest and greatest advances in Heating and A/C technology, however this time I want to speak from the heart.
I recently went through a giant debacle involving my house, and the exhausting work that went into building it, and I wanted to share it.
This is real talk! I bought this apartment at the perfect time, right in the middle of the first COVID outbreak, so the market was weak. If I had waited six more months, I could not have afforded this house, however no apartment is free of problems, and this arena had more than a few. There is a central Heating and A/C system in the main part of the house, that covers the residing areas and the childrens living rooms. The other end of the apartment used to be a 2-car garage, however was converted into a master living room/bathroom suite with its own dedicated Heating and A/C system… At first I thought this was great, however less than 1 year later I came to find out the renovations were poorly done, and the Heating and A/C system was inofficially installed. The problem was one of sitement, and the business had installed the second Heating and A/C system in such a weird arena that it could not be accessed. That meant when it broke down, the AC service tech tried his best however simply could not get into a position to make the repairs; Heck, he couldn’t even inspect the Heating and A/C unit, it was too far back in the crawlspace! Now I have a useless Heating and A/C system in my attic, with no way to service it or even disconnect it.
