A Bittersweet Moment

I’ve been entirely tied up over my heater. The heater has served me well for the past 5 years that I’ve been living here, but it’s always been a concern of mine, when I bought the house, the heater was 10 years old, which was still old in terms of heater lifespans. Now, the heater is 15 years old and it desperately needs to be replaced! I had the entire Heating, Ventilation & A/C system serviced bidaily during my time here and there has never been any drastic disasters that have forced me into buying a current heater. However, this past year has entirely inspected my luck. I switched over from my air conditioner to my heater back in October, which means that I’ve been running the heater for the past 3 months. This isn’t a long time, but I’ve already had to call the Heating, Ventilation & A/C supplier twice and have two repairs. These iphone calls and repairs aren’t cheap, not to mention all the money I’ve been paying just to run the heater. With all of this being said, I had to make the bittersweet decision to buy a current heater. I’m glad about this because it means that I’ll have a heater that’s able to heat my cabin without any concerns or repairs. My utility expenses will also be seriously lower! The disadvantage about buying a current heater is the expense, which is why I’ve put it off for so long, furnaces are not cheap, but all the Heating, Ventilation & A/C professionals tell me that it will pay itself off in the long run. I hope they’re right!
