My brother has been trying to convince me to install a smart thermostat into my home for the past 6 months.
He was given a smart thermostat from a friend who had an extra and it took him months to actually install it.
He didn’t think that the smart thermostat was going to be as great as it was, which was why it took him so long to install it. Once he did install it though, he was amazed by how great it was and he hasn’t started talking about it ever since. My brother tells me all about the features that his new smart thermostat has such as WIFI connection, GEO tracking, and not to mention how efficient it is. ALl of these things sound great to me, but it also sounds like a lot of work. WIFI connection and GEO tracking sound difficult to set up, which is why I haven’t purchased my own smart thermostat. Not to mention, the average smart thermostat is over one hundred dollars! I wanted the benefits of a smart thermostat without the price tag and the work. I’ve explained this to my brother and he assures me that the benefits outweigh my concerns. Yes, it’s an investment, but it pays itself off over time with the money you save in energy savings. He also tells me that it’s super simple to manage and program, so I shouldn’t let that hinder my decision. I don’t think he would lie to me about this, but I still want some time to think about it.
