My wife and I met working in the hotel business.
She was a suited up front of the condo manager and I was the recreation guy.
Mostly, I was outside of the a/c looking after pools and recreational offerings for the guests. I’m absolutely much an outdoor person and don’t feel I could ever work in the zone controlled Heating and Air Conditioning of an office environment. Honestly, I could hardly stand being inside the a/c of the hotel or resort each day. I made the meetings inside the a/c of the hotel or resort but the rest of the time, I was outside. Naturally, I am also into camping. And my wife’s method of camping is an interstate hotel where you can see the Heating and Air Conditioning machine sticking through the wall of each room. So it has taken myself and others the better section of a decade to get her to agree to go on a camping trip. She’s easily going to walk away from the quality heating and air of our condo to sleep outside for five whole afternoons. This is unprecedented really. I don’t feel she’s ever taken any trip in her entire life that didn’t come with some superb heating and cooling comfort. Since every one of us are hiking and camping in the mountains to watch the fall colors, I’ve had to make a couple of compromises. First, every one of us are staying in tent sites that have access to restrooms and showers. Second, every one of us are taking a small space oil furnace with us so my wife and sit it in front of her on the cool afternoons before she gets out of her sleeping bag.
