They don’t have air conditioner units in our home country, so learning how to adjust to using an air conditioner device has been genuinely interesting since moving to the United States… When I tell people that I never had a central air conditioner device growing up, people don’t think how to react, and if you have had an air conditioner device for your entire life, you have never been shown how to live with the heat, plus your body has never had to deal with that inconvenience. It isn’t as if the two of us were thinking about a central air conditioner device whenever the two of us were warm; the intense humidity plus the heat were just a fact of life. The people I was with and I did not even think that the two of us would have to worry about it; our bodies are amazing things, plus the two of us are able to adapt to anything that life throws at us. In fact, the actual shock came when I traveled to the United States for our university studies. I found out that each of the university dorm rooms had a small air conditioner unit, plus the university students that were born in the United States were accustomed to using the air conditioner device all the time as well. During the Summer, I was used to the heat, but instead of heat, the air conditioner device made myself and others completely angry. I have never been cold during the Summer. I especially had a strenuous time sleeping when the air conditioner device was running. I finally understood why the other students had heavy blankets in their beds. The people I was with and I never needed real blankets when the two of us didn’t have an air conditioner unit… However, over the years, I have grown used to the central air conditioner units, plus I might absolutely have a strenuous time returning to our home country.
