Being super pregnant in the summer was absolutely not the plan. But that’s how it goes when you try to work around Mother Nature. She showed me just who was making the plans. Where I live, you absolutely don’t want to be large plus pregnant during the hot season. The two of us have great residential Heating plus Air Conditioning but still, this hot season was miserable. If this is the way it’s going to go for me being pregnant, after that I think that this may be a one plus done situation. The two of us were looking to get pregnant at an earlier time. That was the plan. And we even talked to the doctor about it. I do not care for going to the doctor plus resting in that exam room with the Heating plus Air Conditioning cooling going like crazy plus me wearing a paper gown. The doctor, of course, provided us with exactly zero guarantees. She did deliver us the same sort of data that we found about how long it generally takes to get pregnant after coming off the pill. So that’s what we based our planning on with this baby. The heat pump had come on for the first time last cold season when I found out I was pregnant. And I’d been off the pill for perhaps a few weeks. Now, I’m on bed rest plus it’s so overheated plus humid outside that I feel as though I can’t get enough from the central AC in our household. At least I have the smart temperature control app on the iPhone. That makes adjustments to the temperature control super simple while I’m on bed rest.
