Sometimes it’s hard to be married to an HVAC technician.
Now, I’m not saying that I don’t like being married to my husband, but I will say that the hours that an HVAC technician has to keep sometimes can be very stressful sometimes.
It’s something that I never really considered back when we were first dating years ago. My husband was actually going to the local technical school, finishing out his HVAC certification classes, when we first met and started dating. Back then, I was just young and in love and I never thought about what being married to an HVAC technician might entail sometime in the distant future. I mean, I love my husband and he has built a pretty great life for us and for our kids but the schedule that he has to keep sometimes is really tough. He seems to always be the guy that they call on from the HVAC company whenever they need someone to work late or to work on holidays on the weekends. He never turns them down for some reason. He always says that he needs overtime, but I think that the truth of the matter is that he actually likes to fix heating and cooling systems for other people. I think that he likes working because he’s really great at being an HVAC technician. It always makes him happy to fix a furnace or an air conditioning system for someone. I’m really glad that he likes his job, and I hope that he sticks with it. I’m just hoping that his schedule eases up a little sometime in the near future.
