I rented a car to drive back home from school.

I was going to take the bus, but it would take thirty-six hours to get home on the bus. In thirty-six hours I could get home, spend the night, and get back to school. I rented a car and headed home. On the way home, the HVAC system went out, and I drove the last three hours without heat. I wanted to take the car back to the rental office that was in town, but I was afraid they would charge me for the broken HVAC system. Dad told me to call the rental office and ask them about the HVAC system. When I got in touch with someone, they told me I could bring the car in and they would repair the HVAC, or I could get another car to drive back. I loved the car I was driving, and I wanted to have it when I left in a week. I needed a car to visit family and friends over the week I was home. The man at the rental office told me he understood. He said he could give me another car until the HVAC system was repaired on the other car. I was worried they would charge me for the HVAC system, but he said not to worry. It was a repair and not something I had done to break it. Two days later, they had the HVAC system repaired, and I had the car back. I asked if they would report this to where I rented the car from, and he said there was no reason. He reiterated that it wasn’t damage, but a simple HVAC repair.
