We don’t get a great deal of chilly weather in this section of the nation, however we are more prone to hurricanes & heat waves.
- Never once in my life have I seen snow on the ground.
When my buddy and I do get a chilly snap, usually it comes out of nowhere! This happened a short while ago, one afternoon it was a comfy 68 degrees outside, & later that night the temps dropped to below freezing levels! I lost most of the plants in my yard from the cold front, but there was a bigger setback I had to deal with. The central heating appliance would not turn on. I have no clue when it broke, because it had been six months since the last time I needed the heater. Now that I was in extreme need of the heater, it would not respond. The weather report said that the chilly snap would last for numerous days, & then temps would get back to normal. I reached out to my official Heating & Air Conditioning appliance repair provider, but this chilly snap had them overbooked, & they couldn’t help me until the upcoming week. Thank goodness for Walmart, because I was able to get an excellent space heating appliance for a fraction of the cost I would have paid for repairs. The math was pretty easy, & I made the decision that it wasn’t worth the investment to get the central heating appliance fixed when I wouldn’t need it for too long. The space heating appliance only heats up one room at a time, but I live alone so it seems alright to me!
