I also work as a heating and A/C specialist and yesterday I had an unquestionably disturbing moment. I take our job unquestionably seriously and yesterday I was multiple hours late for our job. It was not something I was proud of. I felt ashamed to be so late. The way it finally happened was the night before I couldn’t get any sleep, I’m not sure exactly how it happened although I was just lying in bed all night unable to get any rest at all. I couldn’t even get our brain to shut down, I had a million thoughts buzzing through our head at the time. Finally, only a few hours before it was time for myself and others to go and get up to go to work and repair people’s heating and air conditioner units I had finally fallen asleep. The moment I closed our eyes it felt like hours had passed however it was truly multiple hours. I woke up to see that it was 11:00 a.m. and I had a couple of missed calls from our job. I felt so terrible. I took our job unquestionably seriously and I was supposed to be there 3 hours ago at 8:00 am! I had our alarm on our cell phone and on our alarm clock set although I assume I was just so sleepy that I slept right through it. Sometimes I can sleep through almost anything it seems. I’m just a deep sleeper when I get certainly too sleepy so I had to set our alarm extra loud to wake myself and others up after I came lake house from work that morning, then luckily I did not get in any trouble or anything since it was our first offense and I have a fantastic resting with our boss, although I was careful not to let it happen again and I was able to go and work on people’s heating and A/C units like I normally do without issue.
