Sometimes family just has to come first and that’s what I’m experiencing now.
My Dad is living with us now and my associate and I are all trying to adjust a bit.
My friend and I have two women in college and one kid that’s still here with us inside the central air conditioning of our home. When dad died a few years ago, Dad tried to keep going with the apartment that they had shared. But it proved to be just too much for her both physically and emotionally. So with my wife’s help, my associate and I had the residential Heating, Ventilation, and A/C upgraded and sold her house. So my wife and I figured my associate and I could put an addition on our apartment and she could stay with us. She’s not in the best shape so really, that made the most sense. And this way, we’re also adding value to our apartment and Dad can put that currency in her savings. The space is really quite nice and could be like a cool apartment even. She has her own entrance plus her own bathroom, tub and shower. Mom’s space also comes with its own heating and cooling in the form of a ductless heat pump. The Heating, Ventilation, and A/C corporation explained that my associate and I simply couldn’t add that amount of air volume to our existing heating and cooling equipment. It would simply overwhelm that Heating, Ventilation, and A/C unit. That’s how my associate and I got turned on to the ductless heat pump.
