Typically, a sofa lasts for 7 to 20 years plus with good care, I know I will have my sofa for another eight to 10 years
I’ve had my sofas for nearly 12 years now, plus I actually prefer using them. They’re dark brown, partial leather couches that are lovely as well as quite comfortable, i also have a large, oversized leather chair which is my number one piece of furniture in my house. That oversized leather chair wasn’t part of the sofa set, but it matched the set so perfectly that I decided that I had to buy it as well… At the time I purchased the residing room sofas plus chair, I was at the start of my career. In fact, aside from my car, the sofas plus chair were the 1st major purchase that I made in my life after I was on the road to financial security, and well, over the past eight or so years, the oversized leather chair has certainly lost its luster… Unfortunately, I have used it so much that the leather has cracks in it… Over the years, I tried to maintain the sofa by using leather maintenance products that I found on the internet. Just a tiny number of them worked a bit, but most of them were a disaster. I should’ve contacted a local reupholstering maintenance plus had them perform the work, but I didn’t, so now the chair is beyond repair. This means I will have to get rid of it soon, and fortunately, my sofas are still in fantastic condition. There is a little wear plus tear, plus the leather portion has no cracks or show much sign of deterioration. Typically, a sofa lasts for 7 to 20 years plus with good care, I know I will have my sofa for another eight to 10 years. I just hope that I can find another oversized leather chair that matches my sofas.
