I have dealt with many heating businesses in my adulthood, and many have almost the same strategies.
I have also met some very talented HVAC professionals who went above and beyond to provide quality heating service.
When I was living with my friend Kara, the furnace, at one point, just stopped working. Kara, who knew more about heaters, had not noticed any signs or symptoms of an issue with the heat pump. The system shut down when we hosted some of our friends for brunch. Our worst fear was being told to purchase another heat and AC product. It was a very embarrassing experience. We called the heating dealership and booked an appointment for an HVAC repairman to do heater maintenance. One of us had to be in the house while the experts were working on the furnace/heater installation. I opted to work remotely that day as I checked on the heating dealer’s progress. The techs were very efficient, and they explained the steps to me. They showed me the components of what I discovered was a hybrid heating system. The entire repair process took more time than they had anticipated. Finally, we had help with indoor comfort. One of them suggested that we get a smart thermostat that would help us save energy and make our unit more efficient. After the servicemen were done with the work, they cleaned their workspace and tidied it up. They later shared some critical and helpful homeowner solutions guidelines. Even with the multiple companies I worked with, this was the first that offered terrific after-sale services. I have stuck with this company. I schedule our biannual HVAC maintenance with them. I even recommended them to a friend who wanted her house fitted with a hydronic heating system and another for boiler repair.
