I’ve been listening to the sound of the broken air conditioner for the past month.
I contacted the apartment building manager and I complained about the noise.
The manager said that she sent someone to look at the system and there were no problems. I don’t understand how there can’t be any problems when the machine is making such a strange and odd noise. I had my boyfriend look at the AC unit where he was here a couple of days ago. He works as an electrician. He knows a little bit of stuff about heating and AC equipment, but he did not have a good answer for me. He couldn’t find any problems either. The sound of the AC is really freaking me out, especially at night when I am trying to sleep. It sounds like there is a monster in the closet. I am 26 years old, so I know there really isn’t a monster in my closet but the noise still makes me feel very freaked out when I am trying to rest. This morning I went to speak with the manager again about the problems with the ac. She ignored me and blew me off. I told her that she needs to come to my apartment to listen to the sound. If she did, then she would understand exactly why I know there is a problem that needs to be fixed. I’m not making the noises up and it’s not the boogeyman either. They have to work on the problem to find the source of the noise.
