My sister has been trying to convince me to install a smart thermostat into my apartment for the past 6 months.
She was given a smart thermostat from a friend who had an extra and it took him months to really install it.
She didn’t know that the smart thermostat was going to be as good as it was, which was why it took him so long to install it. Once she did install it though, she was amazed by how good it was and she hasn’t started talking about it ever since. My sister tells me all about the features that her current smart thermostat has such as wireless affixion, GEO tracking, and not to mention how efficient it is. ALl of these things sound good to me, however it also sounds like a lot of work. wireless affixion and GEO tracking sound difficult to set up, which is why I haven’t purchased my own smart thermostat. Not to mention, the average smart thermostat is over one hundred dollars! I wanted the benefits of a smart thermostat without the price tag and the work. I’ve explained this to my sister and she assures me that the benefits outweigh my concerns, and yes, it’s an investment, however it pays itself off over time with the money you save in energy savings. She also tells me that it’s super simple to manage and program, so I shouldn’t let that hinder my decision. I don’t know she would lie to me about this, however I still want some time to know about it.
