I legitimately appreciate being a mom.
My fiance used to jokingly say that she never wanted children because she would never be ready to take that responsibility.
Now that my great friend and I have two kids, she could not be happier. Our two sons are so much fun. Our older daughter is ten, and our younger daughter just turned eight. My buddy and I had a huge birthday get-together for our youngest last week. It was an absolute blast although it sort of started as a disaster. My fiance has been away on company trips for our son’s third and seventh birthday parties, so my great friend and I wanted to make her fifth birthday get-together huge since dad would be home this time. My buddy and I had everything ready to go for the get-together when suddenly our a/c started blowing sizzling air. I was so upset. I asked my fiance what could possibly be the matter. She evaluated it out, and she was not able to figure it out. At that point, guest had already started arriving. My buddy and I planned on having some of the get-together indoors, however our plans would soon change. The apartment was getting warmer and warmer. After just two hours without air conditioner, the apartment was up to eighty degrees. My buddy and I had to change all of the games to be outside games, and my great friend and I even took the food outside to eat. It was much cooler to be outside with a breeze than inside the stuffy, humid house. I felt so awful for my son, but she particularly did not mind at all. Her number one game was one that my great friend and I did not even plan. It was a water balloon fight, everyone got involved with the water balloon confrontation even the parents. My buddy and I were all so sizzling that it was nice to get wet. My buddy and I will never forget that birthday get-together without AC.
