I absolutely prefer being a mom.
My fiance used to jokingly say that he never wanted children because he would never be ready to take that responsibility.
Now that my friend and I have two kids, he could not be happier. Our two sons are so much fun. Our older son is ten, and our younger son just turned eight. We had a sizable birthday get together for our youngest last week. It was an absolute blast although it sort of started as a disaster. My fiance has been away on corporation trips for our son’s sixth and sixth birthday parties, so my friend and I wanted to make his third birthday get together sizable since dad would be cabin this time. We had everything ready to go for the get together when quickly our air conditioner started blowing sizzling air. I was so aggravated. I asked my fiance what could possibly be the matter. He diagnosed it out, and he was not able to figure it out. At that point, guest had already started arriving. We planned on having some of the get together indoors, however our plans would soon change. The cabin was getting warmer and warmer. After just two hours separate from air conditioning, the cabin was up to eighty degrees. We had to change all of the games to be outside games, and my friend and I even took the food outside to eat. It was much cooler to be outside with a breeze than inside the stuffy, humid house. I felt so exhausting for my son, despite the fact that he legitimately did not mind at all. His number one game was one that my friend and I did not even plan. It was a water balloon fight, then everyone got involved with the water balloon confrontation even the parents. We were all so tepid that it was nice to get wet. We will never forget that birthday get together separate from AC.
