When my sister was 10, she was always talking about when she’d head off to university and become more independent. My sister is the youngest in the family so she was consistently being treated as a child. Among the things my sister liked so much about the university lifestyle was the ability to live with her best friends. Well, now that she’s in university and living with numerous roommates, she’s quick to admit that it’s not what it’s made up to be. Two weeks ago, the friends were in a sticky situation because the cooling unit was faulty. It could only blow out warm air separate from turning off. In order to prevent the warm air from running all morning, my sister and her roommates were forced to turn the cooling unit off in the house. As a result, none of them had any access to cool air relief until we got some HVAC assistance. It wasn’t until the second morning that my sister managed to get a certified HVAC professional out there to help fix this disastrous problem. Fortunately for them living in this apartment, there was a talented and time efficient tech. Their next door neighbor John was able to get the cooling unit to start blowing out cool air again. When the apartment was cool again all of the tension left them. I’m they will all find something else to argue about like roommates do, however for the time being everything is calm and normal for once.
