You don’t need a constant internet access with a smart thermostat

I work from home, so I use our internet all the time… Having a reliable internet provider is truly substantial to avoid any unforeseen interruptions… Therefore, I use the best provider on this side of town, and I have had no concerns until last week, then i was in the middle of a afternoon meeting with one of our clients, when the video calI was immediately disliked, at first, I thought it was just a glitch, and I would relink; however when I tried, I got a message that I had no internet.

I maintained the modem, and tried to solve the issue, however to no avail, then I contacted our provider who mentioned that there was a major outage in our neighborhood.

I called our shopper to let him know, and the two of us rescheduled our meeting, but while sitting at our desk, it occurred to me that our smart thermostat would not be able to work correctly with no internet source, and I would have to manually adjust it until the internet was restored; prior to purchasing the thermostat, that was our one question to the salesman – what happens if I had no internet? The salesman assured me that I could use the smart thermostat just enjoy I would a official thermostat, and that once the internet was restored, the settings on the thermostat would go back to normal. I didn’t understand if I would see the afternoon where I would have to manually adjust our smart thermostat; however, the internet was down for 6 hours that afternoon. I am cheerful the manufacturer thought about this scenario when they designed these smart thermostats because internet outages don’t happen truly often.
