When some of our outdated buddies came back into town, they needed a place to crash, so I told them they could stay at our place; I had a couple of guest study rooms and that was perfect for the guys! Since they were sticking around for a while, they paid me rent even though I said they didn’t have to; we were all reminiscing about back in the morning when the two of us used to jam out together as a band.
We were absolutely something.
I still had a couple of guitars and a drum set in the garage. Of course, it wasn’t sound proofed so I knew the neighbors would be miserable if the two of us were rocking out in there! My buddies said the two of us could soundproof the garage though, so the two of us did that. I was thinking about how the two of us could make it more comfortable too. I thought it would be nice to have the ductwork extended into the garage so the two of us could have comfort from the heating, ventilation and A/C system. I had an actual heating, ventilation and A/C expert come out to see if that could be done, even though he commanded something absolutely different, however he said the ductwork could not be resized as our heating, ventilation and A/C program was sized for the correct areas of the house, not the garage. So I basically had to have up-to-date heating, ventilation and A/C installed for the garage even though he said a ductless mini split would do the trick. He said I wouldn’t even notice an increase in our energy costs because these systems are so energy efficient. On top of that, they supply both heating and cooling for comfort through all the seasons… But before I knew it, I was playing songs in the garage with our outdated friends, and the two of us were playing as nice as the two of us used to, if not better!
