I have worked out in some weird places before.
Anytime I go on vacation I know I am going to be exercising in a place not normally meant for it.
I work 6 days a week though, without fail. So when I am on a trip I need to improvise. I try whenever possible to get a gym, however my husband and I go to some obscure places. When we are in a foreign country, in a small town, there aren’t many gyms to choose from. Sometimes the hotels with gyms are over 600 bucks a night. I then try to get a place that has a yard outside that I can at least mess around in. That is not always possible either. I have run through major cities, crunched in small hotel rooms and been in some weird work out rooms. The worst was I was in a foreign country and the spa and gym were connected. They were only separated by a thin sheet of curtain. The spa had steam rooms and hot tubs. So to make everyone comfortable it was around 85 degrees there. The gym, only separated by a curtain, didn’t have an AC system running. I was working out in over 80 degree temperatures! I was the only one working out in the gym due to the severe heating there. I worked out in my bra and undies and stole towels from the spa. I had to mop the sweat off my body and hydrate every few seconds. I am amazed they didn’t get flagged as a health violation. Aren’t there set temperatures gyms have to be at?
