I was home because of a cold.

I could not go five minutes without sneezing, so I had to stay home until the worst of it ended.

There was little I could do even at home, so to make more out of my day I called for home services. I put the ginger-lemon-honey mixture in a flask and made myself comfortable on the couch. I called the HVAC company for HVAC maintenance. I was watching reruns of Supernatural when the HVAC technician arrived. He thoroughly inspected the air conditioning system and told me that the ductwork needed cleaning. I rarely took note of the air duct, as long as I replaced the ac filter, I thought all was well with the air conditioner. The a/c worker worked on the HVAC unit for quite some time and told me that I would notice improved air quality after the cleaning. After he was done with the ac repair and left I took a walk outside to get rid of the drowsiness I was feeling. I eventually gave up and decided to head back to the house for a siesta. The minute I walked in, I noticed the improvement in the indoor air. The HVAC professional proved himself because his work did a lot to help with indoor comfort. I took half a glass of my concoction and took a nap. By the time I was waking up, I was much better and in an even better mood because the next day was not a working day. I could laze around the house the whole day, watch movies and hopefully start on a novel I had borrowed from a friend.

My boyfriend came home the other day and announced that one of his friends had invited us to a housewarming party.

He retired several months ago and decided to relocate near the beach.

He bought a magnificent beachfront villa. It was sweltering hot on the day of the housewarming. We started the day by going to the supermarket for some shopping. Before we left we called the HVAC company to carry out HVAC maintenance. Summer had just started, and we wanted to ensure ours was in good shape to function optimally throughout summer. We started getting ready in the afternoon as the party would begin later that afternoon. Though it was sweltering outside, our newly serviced air conditioning system kept us cool. I only felt the heat when I stepped out of the house to go to the car. The place was as beautiful as described. His air conditioner was new, so the help with indoor comfort was top-notch. The host, my boyfriend’s friend, was a retired HVAC professional. He talked about importing his HVAC unit through his home services. The installation process was a breeze because he had been doing it for years as an HVAC technician. The air quality at the house was very high, but I did not expect less. He shared contacts of his technicians that were good at ac repairs, changing ac filters, and cleaning the ductwork among others. A clean air duct is equivalent to good air quality. The food and the company were great, and we had so much fun watching the sunset.

After the home services, we had amazing air quality

I have not had a good night’s sleep since I moved into my new house. The heat was sometimes unbearable. I would sweat throughout the night and wake up in soaked sheets. Then after waking up from the heat, I could not go back to sleep until early in the morning. My dogs were also feeling the heat, they would lay near the standing fan just to feel the breeze. I had spoken to an a/c worker who promised to come to my house to assess it. The HVAC professional had brought with him a team of experts to assist him. They established that they needed to install a new air conditioner. They ordered the HVAC unit which was delivered an hour later. The installation was a day’s work, and I commend the HVAC technician for their efficiency. We finally had help with indoor comfort, thanks to the cooling specialists. They also taught me to care for and operate the cooling product with regular HVAC maintenance and called in for ac repair once I noticed something was amiss. I also learned how to change the ac filters independently. I bought the air conditioning system at an excellent discounted price from the HVAC company since they were running a sale on their products. I also sought ductwork cleaning. The air duct was a mess. After the home services, we had amazing air quality. We get a good night’s sleep, and so do my dogs. They have stopped panting unless we go by the beach. It’s unbelievable how cool my home is, compared to the sweltering heat outside, especially during the day.

I thought I had all the answers even before the HVAC worker showed up at the house, but our a/c machine was broken, and the boiler was aging.

I was sure he was going to look at the a/c machine and tell us it needed to be updated.

I was going to tell him to install a new HVAC system in the house, instead of just replacing the a/c. I didn’t want a central HVAC. I wanted something that would be less work and cleaner to run. I was going to have him order and install ductless HVAC for my home. The morning the HVAC worker was supposed to arrive, I was up early, and waiting for him. I knew he had a three-hour window, but my appointment was for 8 AM. How much later could he be so early in the morning? He didn’t arrive until almost 10 AM, which had me slightly upset. He went right to work on the a/c, and I was waiting for him to tell me the A/C machine could not be fixed. Instead, he told me it was just a matter of putting some coolant in the a/c unit, and it would be fine. I was annoyed. I asked him what kind of HVAC worker he was so that he could not tell me the a/c machine was broken so I could get a new HVAC system? He told me if I wanted a new HVAC system that was fine, even though he wasn’t going to lie and tell me the A/C machine wasn’t fixable. I felt stupid after talking to the HVAC worker, because he thought I wanted him to forget about being an HVAC tech and just tell me what I wanted to hear.
