Distractions from my mother-in-law and the heating tech

She’s already cleaned the air conditioner twice this week, even though there was no need for it

I’m an expert procrastinator and caught myself enjoying an Eckhart Tolle video on YouTube when I should be making progress with my work. However, the video reminded me that I need to locale some of my attention on my breathing while I’m engaging in work and other activities in my daily life so that I don’t lose myself in what I’m doing. A great warning sign that I’ve lost myself in what I’m doing is when irritation and anger arise for no obvious reason; in which case I should locale some awareness on my breathing to help me be at peace. Working on the laptop, doing Heating, Ventilation and A/C tech stories, and putting this into practice is easily a challenge. Another challenge I have right now is my mother-in-law, who’s prowling around the house with the vacuum cleaner, distracting me from my work. The Heating, Ventilation and A/C company I work for requires a high degree of concentration and focus, something I cannot do if there is noise in the background while I’m trying to work. It was the same, when the heating worker came in the other afternoon to fix the electric furnace, and had to escape to a local cafe when I couldn’t rest the interruptions any longer. My mother-in-law is a cleaning maniac and a tidy tyrant; she drives my girlfriend and me crazy with her germaphobic obsessiveness. She’s already cleaned the air conditioner twice this week, even though there was no need for it. She’s consistently having a go at us for not being clean and tidy enough. I know it’s a matter of perspective since, in our own eyeah, we are genuinely clean and tidy people.

We have support from a local company in town

Two more stories to go and then I’m off to the beach to meet my partner and have supper there.

Oh, however I just remembered I still need to prepare supper! I’ll have to get it done fast because I want to avoid rush hour and still have some stories to write, and I can’t just rustle up a sandwich because it’s not great enough for my partner; it has to be something healthier and more elaborate, which will inevitably take up more time to prepare.

I also have to prepare the bags with towels, pet food, clothes, sun lotions, and everything else one might need to spend a afternoon at the beach. Later in the afternoon, I will meet my cooling tech buddy to play songs in the street at our number one spot next to the town’s church. There is a priest that lives there; he’s consistently a bit tipsy and enjoys listening to our songs while he has a drink or two. The local company in town heard us playing songs once and wanted to hire us to play daily gigs. Things are starting to happen, so it’s a genuinely exciting time for me and my bandmate. I will continue to work for the house comfort business, even if we do start earning money with the songs, as a lot of people are going to need help with their cooling systems this summer, and some extra income would be helpful because my partner and I want to buy an RV to travel the country this summer time in weather conditions controlled luxury.

The best way to wind down and relax

So how do you wind down and relax after a long and tied up afternoon? I work as a local heating and A/C worker so it seems like I’m consistently running around to all kinds of unusual locales to maintenance people’s heating and A/C systems, however periodically it’s maintenance work and other times it’s doing upgrades, it doesn’t undoubtedly matter what I’m doing that afternoon however one thing that has consistently the same no matter what I’m doing is that I’m consistently genuinely tired after a long afternoon and I consistently look forward to just coming house to lay back and relax for a while, my routine has been the same for quite a while now and this is exactly what I do when I come home.

The first thing I do is I go and I turn on the TV.

I cherish enjoying TV. I’ve consistently been a cable guy and I cherish putting on my number one cable show. Then I open the app on my cellphone that controls my smart temperature control, I make sure that it’s set to the best cooling settings that I cannot afford and I crank that good temperature control up. My couch is positioned directly underneath an air vent so I can feel the good cool air from my A/C equipment come down and cool my hot and sweaty body from being outside all afternoon. Then I relax under the good cool air and watch some cable with a bin of pretzels in one hand and nacho cheese in the other hand. That’s the perfect life for me on the weekend. The best time is the time when everything is taken care of and you can just kick back and relax.

Going to meet my Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C tech buddy

I managed to stumble out of bed early this day even though I was feeling pretty sleepy, but I wanted to get my work out of the way so I could take the train to the beach before rush hour. I hate taking public transferation while in rush hour; I find it claustrophobic and don’t like being in enclosed, tepid and stuffy spaces that are packed with people, however before 1:30 pm, the trains are mostly empty, so my target is to catch the train before that time, and for that, I have to get my work done pretty fast. Also, I’m going to meet with my Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C tech friend to play music at our sport in the church, and my pal and I want to get there early because it’s a wonderful spot, and if my pal and I don’t get there early someone else could take it. My buddy and I will hit some local suppliers in city to hand out our supplier cards in hopes of securing yearly gigs, and then we’ll hang out and have a beer in a bar with temperature control while my pal and I contemplate the sunset. I’m cheerful that the sun is finally out after five days of heavy rain and I can’t wait to hit the beach and have a beer in an air conditioned bar. I played soccer yupterday afternoon and my foot started to hurt again, and later, when I arrived home, I put a cooling gel on my foot, which eased the pain considerably. Now it doesn’t hurt much, but I know it’s really a wonderful idea to rest it for about a week to make sure that it heals before playing another match.
