Corporate apartments are the best for traveling

My partner Ben is a traveling doctor, and one of the most important things on his list is to book a wonderful spot to stay when he travels.

Ben prefers to stay in an area that’s close to the hospital & close to loads of recreational facilities.

As a traveling doctor, Ben wants to be comfortable in his living space, especially because Ben works long hours and needs to find peace and quiet when he gets home. So, wherever Ben chooses to live, it must have comfortable furnishings. In addition, Ben typically chooses an apartment that is close to the downtown area & nearby a park and a gym. Sporadically Ben gets lucky and there is a fitness center & a pool inside the apartment complex. The hot news is, there is corporate housing that is rented by owners that are perfect for traveling doctors and they fit his needs. These corporate apartments are fully furnished and respectfully located in suburban areas that have lots of outdoor activities. But the best part about these furnished corporate apartments is how they can be rented for a few days, a few weeks, or for extended month-long stays. Such flexibility is wonderful because at times, Ben doesn’t know for sure how long his assignment will last. There are some assignments that will last for 2 weeks, while others could last for up to 2 months, or longer. Being a traveling doctor isn’t easy for Ben because he’s away from home. But at least, when he’s away, it’s wonderful to know that Ben has a comfortable locale to sleep after his long shifts.

Corporate apartments beat hotel rooms easily

Over the last few years, I have witnessed the price of hotels skyrocketing.

I used to be able to book a fine oceanfront hotel room with a small family room for approximately 250 or so.

This week, a similar room is over 400 and there haven’t been any updates done or any amenities added. This room is a suite which means it’s a lot larger than the average hotel room and it comes with a second room & a separate study room. Although the rental suite is much better than the average hotel room, nothing beats renting a corporate apartment. I was 1st introduced to corporate rentals by one of my contractor customers who described these apartments as a house away from home. Of course, when compared to a hotel room, a corporate rental will be 100% better. For one, there is a lot more living space in a corporate apartment. In addition, there will be fewer people around as hotels are typically so busy with people typically checking in or out! But the best part about a corporate apartment is that it works out to be a lot less expensive than booking a hotel suite. I can rent a legitimately nice corporate apartment for $2,500 a month and if I were to rent a hotel room with the same amenities, it would cost 3 times that cost… Moreover, corporate apartments have similar amenities as a hotel room, and at times, the corporate amenities are better. Of course, hotel rooms are still needed since they are better for shorter stays. But if I had the choice, I would opt for a corporate rental over any hotel room.

Turning my old house into a furnished short-term rental apartment

Recently, I moved from the south to the Midwestern region.

I decided to make the transfer because I was provided a job that I could not turn down.

This was a position as a boss and manager, where I would have a team of 12 people reporting to me. I was so excited about the move, however everything manifested so quickly – more quickly than I anticipated. I went for an interview at the start of January and by the end of the month, I was already finalizing the plans on how to make the transfer seamless. After I explored a few options, the 1 big thing that made the most sense to me was to rent my house as a furnished short-term rental. This meant that I wouldn’t have to transfer all my furniture across the country. In fact, I didn’t transfer anything with me at all, and I was able to secure a month to month lease with the occupant. Renting the house as a furnished short-term rental allowed me to transfer with only my absolute necessities, which meant that I had legitimately little relocation expenses. In fact, I used my large relocation stipend from the new contractor to pay for a corporate apartment in the modern city that I moved to. I chose to rent a small corporate apartment because I didn’t want to be locked into a long-term lease. Eventually, I could find a modern locale to call my house in this city. Overall, everything worked out well and renting my house as a furnished short-term rental was the smartest decision that I could have made.

Affordable apartments

I got to stay in a high-priced executive suite

I run a consulting firm and part of my duty includes getting to know the full operation of my customers.

This means, I will work alongside my new customers on a regular basis in their corporate offices.

Last year, I secured a legitimately prominent contract with a global advertising business. And this contractor requested that I shadowed a few top executive employees over a period of 6 weeks. Typically, I would shadow and learn the operation in a matter of 2 or 3 weeks. So, 6 weeks was a long time for me, although I agreed since the patron was that high profile. As part of the contract, the patron paid for all my housing while staying in town. And I was so impressed with the housing that they provided. I stayed in one of the finest, most high-priced executive suites that I could’ve imagined. This executive suite was in a huge high-rise building near the downtown area of the city that I was in. In the past, I have stayed in corporate apartments and lodging, however none compared to this executive suite. The executive suite had 24-hour full concierge service, housekeeping twice per day & 2 balconies overlooking the lake. Additionally, there was a complimentary spa treatment, a fitness center, an infinity swimming pool with a bar, a contractor center, and so much more. After staying in such a fine, high-priced executive suite, it was hard going back to the normal corporate rental. I surely would not mind landing some more contracts with high profile customers because they have access to the finest corporate rentals. Either way, that contract was a success, and the patron was stoked with the outcome. And I was cheerful that I got to stay in such a killer executive suite.
