There were Heating and Air Conditioning workers up on the roof of the building whenever I got to labor this afternoon! I mean most of the time during the summer, the top floor is the hottest part of the entire building. It’s like the air conditioner just can’t keep up. I know that heat rises, and that seems to be the case all year long in our building, then not only is it tepid up there during the summer, however it’s also sweltering on the top floor during the winter. I actually have one of those little personal cooling devices on my desk so that I can turn it on during the week whenever I need it at work. Anyway, since the commercial Heating and Air Conditioning company was there to labor on the heating and cooling system, I knew that my pal and I were going to have a long, loud day. That’s because the a/c system for the building is located up on the roof, which is right above our heads on the top floor. All day long, I could hear clanging and banging from the roof!

My buddy and I had to move up here for my wifey’s task and will be here another few years it looks like. I honestly didn’t know what I was doing when it came to the gas boiler or getting the condo ready for Winter. Thankfully, the Heating and A/C worker helped me understand how to help myself when it came to lowering our heating costs. I just had to follow the step in order to seal the condo up honestly well! Once I did that properly, the source of the major draft became totally evident. It turned out to be that one of the new, double paned windows was installed without any sort of insulation. Once that was buttoned up, there was zero drafty feeling in the house. Along with the winter prep, sealing that draft source turned our condo into a toasty spot this winter and my pal and I saved a ton on heating expenses.
