I used to help my dad, the independent HVAC technician

He wanted to keep up to date so he could help his heating and cooling customers with all their systems.

My dad and I have always been close and I guess that’s why it’s been easy since he moved in with me. He is now in his 60s and mom is no longer with us. So I had to encourage him to come live with my family and I so he could be close to his grandkids. Dad is retired, so he was at home and we felt he was getting lonely in that big house. My partner and I didn’t have to convince him at all because he agreed to the move the moment we mentioned it. I love my dad and we share so many amazing fond memories. I remember when I was young, I used to help my dad with his job. He was an independent HVAC technician who served such a wide area. When it was the weekend or school break, I’d ride in his truck, hold his tools, and even help with some repairs when I was older. He always paid me and taught me a lot about life during those trips. Dad was loved by the community and they always made sure to call him when there was a heating or cooling issue. The more advanced the HVAC technology became, the more dad did his best to catch up. I remember teaching him about the internet and computers. He wanted to keep up to date so he could help his heating and cooling customers with all their systems. It was dad who introduced many homes to smart thermostats. He would sell them on his website and install them for homeowners in the area. Even though he is now retired as an independent HVAC technician, dad still fixes units now and then.

She immediately hired the heating contractor

Zelina had been living up north since she was a kid and didn’t ever think she’d leave the area.

  • But, no matter how much you plan in life, it can surprise you.

The only thing that is constant in this world is change, and this is something that Zelina has learned. She was going about her life and living in a cabin not far from her parent’s home. One day Zelina was driving home when she lost control and her car ended up in a ditch. Her foot was broken and Zelina had to take time to heal so she decided to visit her cousin who lived in the south. That was the first time Zelina had been to her home and she just fell in love with the entire area. This prompted the decision to move without any second thought. Zelina purchased a small two bedroom home which she began renovating and also wanted to change the HVAC cooling. The previous owner had a heat pump in the small house but it was 18 years old. Zelina felt this cooling unit was too old to use effectively. The area she relocated to is always hot and the heat gets worse during summer. So it’s always good to have a proper functioning cooling unit to prevent issues such as heat stroke. Zelina began researching different HVAC contractors in the area and even went online to see their reviews. One had excellent reviews and a 4.8 star rating, so Zelina opted to immediately hire the HVAC contractor to do the heat pump replacement. She wanted the latest heat pump that would suit her home and keep it cool always.

Hassan is thriving as a heating and AC specialist

It’s been a decade since Hassan completed his HVAC training and he is thriving as a heating and AC specialist.

When Hassan and his family immigrated here from his home country, he was only 5 years old. Life had been great back home until it wasn’t and they had to leave. It took Hassan time to adjust to a new way of life, but thankfully, his school experience was wonderful. One teacher took him under his wing and would give Hassan extra tutoring. He even managed to master the local language in a short duration and made friends. Hassan went on to middle school and then high school where he did well. His goal was never to go to college but rather attend a trade school. The choice was between plumbing and electrician. A neighbor who was an HVAC expert opened Hassan up to the world of HVAC. He spoke with Hassan about the numerous opportunities in the HVAC industry and how they were always seeking tech-savvy youth who would do better with the latest HVAC technology. This plus the job security convinced Hassan and he went to trade school to train to become a heating and AC specialist. His folks were supportive and made sure he had everything he needed to attain his HVAC certification. It’s been a decade since Hassan completed his HVAC training and he is thriving as a heating and AC specialist. The neighbor had been right about the potential and opportunities in the HVAC industry. Plus, the job security has seen Hassan take care of his family now that he is married and has a son. He continues to attend further training in order to work better with the latest HVAC technology.

She could use solar energy to run her HVAC system

Cindy has been trying her best to ensure she lived an eco-friendly life.

It’s not easy but every person can play a part by reducing their carbon footprint.

There are even vehicles now that emit little emission which conserves the environment. Cindy first came to learn about the plight of the world when she was in middle school. Their teacher played a video on climate change and global warming in class. Her goal was to inspire them to get into recycling at school and home. Cindy was so moved that she began making small changes, and even roped her parents and siblings to do the same. Now that she lives in her own home, Cindy continues to live an eco-friendly life. She is not only big on recycling but Cindy also advocates for solar energy. Living in the south is a great bonus since the sun is always out and she can use solar energy for many things including running her HVAC system. Cindy decided to contact an HVAC company when she bought the house to find out about the HVAC system. She, in particular, wanted to learn about using solar energy to run the heating and cooling system. The HVAC specialist was helpful and he advised Cindy on the right investments to make. This includes solar panels, a thermal mass, and other items to convert solar energy to electricity that would power the HVAC system. Now, Cindy rarely relies on the national grid to cool her home. Even during the mild winters, Cindy can use HVAC heating to warm the house and not worry about high energy costs. The initial costs of solar energy implementation wasn’t cheap, but it was worth it.
