I thought my finances were supposed to improve the older I got and the longer I worked. But for me, it’s almost working in reverse. I went from a great zone controlled HVAC at the office to working from home in my own central air conditioning. That comes after a decade or so of my budget being pretty limited. I lost a lot in the previous session that never came back. However, working from home inside the central air conditioning of my house, heating and cooling is important to me. That’s because I still like to soak up as much residential HVAC as I work from my house. It’s as though I’m sitting in front of the computer inside the HVAC all day. The HVAC also became a target for cost cutting as well. The HVAC cost during the winter is nearly nothing as it’s so mild here now. But the rest of the time the HVAC cost can be significant. However the HVAC cooling during the four months of summer takes the biggest bite out of my budget. So I try my hardest to be sure that we aren’t over-cooling the house. I’ve even learned to program the HVAC thermostat so the thermostat setting is in the eighties during the heat of the day. But we draw the line at being uncomfortable during sleep so we adjust the thermostat so we have plenty of cooling at night.

I woke up flushed & having a difficult time breathing. I thought it was our asthma acting up again & reached for our inhaler. When it got our hand from beneath the covers, I knew it wasn’t our asthma. It was just as hot in the room as it was beneath the blankets. I was suffocating & had to check the temperature control. My eyeah were burning by the time I checked the temperature control & realized it was a problem with the furnace. I set the temperature control for sixty, however it was almost ninety in the room. I didn’t guess the temperature control in the kitchen would make that much difference. I got out of the kitchen, & the entire home was hot. I opened a window, however had to close it. It was snowing, & the snow was being blown into the house. I opened a window that was away from the wind, however it still pulled snow inside. I called the Heating & Air Conditioning company & told them the furnace was working overtime, & explained how hot it was in our home. He said some people would be delighted about the heat, however I didn’t prefer his sarcasm. I told him that if he didn’t want to repair the furnace, I could find someone else who would. He could not show until morning, so I curled up on the floor in the basement entryway, where it was typically cool. The next morning, i was up at 6 AM, waiting for the Heating & Air Conditioning specialist, who didn’t arrive until almost 11 AM, & I was not delighted.

She couldn’t show until day, so I curled up on the floor in the basement living room, where it was always cool. The next day, i was up at 6 AM, waiting for the HVAC serviceman, who didn’t arrive until almost 11 AM, plus I was not happy.

When I was growing up, my parents always took me to stay with my grandparents and we went to lots of places on vacation.

I stayed in lots of different hotels and motels. I never stayed in a place where the parking lot was unsafe. I never stayed in a motel where we had to sleep with one eye open. Unfortunately for me, I don’t have the same luxuries that my parents had when I was younger. I definitely don’t have the same budget. When I go somewhere overnight, I can’t afford to stay in the most expensive or luxurious hotel. I often have to choose something that is low priced with reasonable reviews. I hope to get a place with three stars, but I often have to settle for two. My boyfriend and I had to get a hotel room one night after our car broke down. The car was in the shop that was closest to the place where we broke down. It looked like the middle of nowhere, but there was a hotel and an all night diner with a good heating system. We thought that we were much safer in the diner than inside of the hotel. It looked like they rented the place by the hour. My boyfriend and I sat inside of the diner for several hours while we waited for the mechanics shop to open in the morning. It was warm inside the diner. The furnace was running and the heat was working. They also had great eggs, toast, and bacon.
