Last year my husband and I had a ductless heater installed downstairs in the rack room.
We use the heater during the entire winter season and half of the spring as well.
When it came time to use the ductless heater again this year, I couldn’t get it to come on. I had no idea what was wrong with the ductless heater, so I contacted the company that installed the machine. The mission was still under warranty thankfully, and we had a repair technician come to the house the very next day. The guy looked at the ductless heater, but he didn’t see anything wrong with the machine that would keep it from working. The guy was completely and totally perplexed by the problem. He checks to make sure that there was power going to the machine and power coming out. It was completely weird and bizarre that the ductless heating system was not working. The guy called another member of the staff. He asked me if I minded waiting so he could get another opinion from a guy with more experience. I didn’t mind waiting another hour, especially because I wanted the downstairs heater to be fixed before the annual holiday party. The next guy had a little bit more information to offer on the subject. He immediately noticed a problem that the other guy missed and that turned out to be the issue. I did not have to pay a bunch of extra money for the second opinion and the guy also stayed to help with the repair since he knew what was going on.
