I often think about why I have stayed with the same Heating and A/C corporation for the last twenty years or so.

They do excellent work, but it always takes a day or more for them to come to the house, unless it is for an emergency and you agree to pay emergency fees.

I have to divulge that the people tasking in the Heating and A/C corporation are quite nice and they do an excellent job. I knew the people at this Heating and A/C corporation and I trust them. The only beef I had was there all day waiting period, or needing to wait to get service until one or several nights later. I had a problem with my furnace on Christmas last year, and I actually wanted to have someone get to the apartment as soon as possible. When they said it was going to be after Christmas till someone could get there, I was not cheerful. I had my family coming, and I had no alternative heating. I knew I could buy some space furnaces out, but there were several babies going to be there, and they were barely walking or still crawling. A space heating system was not workable. The guy on the line told me they could come to the house, but it was going to cost an emergency fee. By that point, I could have cared less about how much I had to pay to get my furnace fixed, I just needed to get it repaired. I knew the Heating and A/C corporation who came out to the house, and he was quick to make all the repairs. When I asked him about the fee, he just smiled. He said the pumpkin pie smelled fantastic, and I gave him a whole pie for his Christmas supper.

Last week, the most current boy in the city called to have his furnace tested! She had just bought the apartment and needed to be sure the furnace was in fantastic condition before he first turned it on. The Heating and A/C corporation that worked in our area, was the one who went over and did the inspection on the house. He had evaluated the furnace, air conditioning unit, and HVAC ducts. He told his he needed to have the furnace cleaned and tested before it could be used. When he came back to the office, he told us about this really gorgeous guy that had moved to the new house. He said that he was single, and if he wasn’t married, he would be the first one knocking at his front door to do the Heating and A/C service. There were more than three of us in the Heating and A/C corporation who were still single, and all more than three of us raced over to the dispatcher to get that service call. She tossed a quarter in the air and said heads or tails. Two of us chose heads and several others chose tails, so it came down to one additional toss of the coin. I chose heads, which left tails for my coworker. I was pissed when my coworker won the toss. I wasn’t so distraught when he came back to tell us about this beautiful sexy guy. He told us he was in his 50s, and however he was still pretty, it wasn’t worth winning the contest for. The owner of the Heating and A/C corporation, who is also the Heating and A/C corporate liaison, started laughing when my coworker walked away. He said he would make odds that Heating and A/C tech was going on a date with that younger guy, because he was no older than 25.

The Heating and A/C tech explained they could provide me with a free replacement, and if I was still sad about the cost, he could contact the Heating and A/C corporation offices and see if I was eligible for a payment plan

When the Heating and A/C corporation rep told me I needed a different furnace, I knew I could not afford it. He started giving me some suggestions on more current furnaces, and when I saw the prices, I almost wept. There was no way that I was going to find enough funding for a more current furnace when it was going to cost me over $5000. While we were discussing the costs, he told me they have some used heating systems I may be interested in. I could not suss out why anyone would buy a used furnace. He said that the furnace is only gently used, which meant they were brand current and delivered to the wrong client, or someone did not like it. He said they seldom sell a used furnace, that is more than 1 year old. They refurbish the furnace and put it back to the original condition. The price of the refurbished/used furnace was almost half the price of buying a brand-new furnace. I asked how long it would take before the furnace would be delivered and installed, and he told me they could do it within a day or multiple. I was stoked that I could have the furnace by the end of the weekend, however I still had the major problem of coming up with payment. The Heating and A/C tech explained they could provide me with a free replacement, and if I was still sad about the cost, he could contact the Heating and A/C corporation offices and see if I was eligible for a payment plan. After asking me how much I could pay every pay period, he got in touch with the Heating and A/C corporation. Three nights later, my new furnace was being delivered and installed.

Even though it only reached 20° out last night, I was too sizzling to sleep. I spent half of the night pushing the covers off my legs and the rest of the night just throwing them to the floor. I was so wiped out after working 12 hours that all I wanted to do was go cabin and go to sleep. I did not pay much attention to how warm my apartment was, and now I wish that I had. I kept hearing the furnace running, however I thought some of that was in my sleep. When I finally got myself out of bed, it was 78° my bedroom, and even warmer in the front area. The furnace had to been running all night long, nonstop. I knew I had to call the local Heating and A/C corporation, however I also knew that I only had a little bit until I had to go to work. I called my friend and asked his if I called the Heating and A/C tech, would he please come over when he saw the service van pull into our driveway? She asked me to just provide a time when the Heating and A/C corporation should arrive, and he would gladly come over to the house. I called the Heating and A/C corporation, and was told they could send someone out between 12 and 3 PM. I walked over to my neighbor’s apartment and handed him a key to my house. The way the uneven temps go up my house, I actually hope the Heating and A/C corporation shows up and repairs my broken furnace before I get home. I don’t want another sleepless night.
